
The value of Macedonian exports increased 15.1 percent in first four months of 2014, according to report published Friday by the State Statistical Office of Macedonia.
The value of exports in the period January-April 2014 was 1.51 billion U.S. dollars while import value was 2.31 billion U.S. dollars.
The most traded were precious metals and compounds used in vehicles, aircraft or ships, iron and steel products and clothes. In imports, the most significant products were petroleum oils, platinum and platinum alloys.
The most important export partners of Macedonia were the EU-28 countries, which accounted for 78.7 percent of the the total exports, and the West Balkan countries which account for 13.0 percent.
The most important trade partners of Macedonia were Germany, Britain, Greece, Serbia and Italy, together accounting for 52.4 percent of the total international commodity trade.
