
Indonesia's economic growth slipped to the lowest level for five years in the second quarter, government statistics said Tuesday, dpa reported.
Gross domestic product grew 5.1 per cent in the second quarter compared to the same period last year, said the Central Bureau of Statistics.
It expanded 2.5 per cent compared to the first quarter this year, the agency said.
The transport and communications sector recorded the highest growth year-on-year at 9.5 per cent, it said.
South-east Asia's largest economy grew 5.8 per cent in 2013, after having expanded by more than 6 per cent annually since 2010.
