High rate of inflation in Russia

The Russian Department of Statistics has announced that the country’s inflation rate climbed to 4.4 percent from the beginning of this year, to 23 July. The same period of the last year had seen an increase in consumer prices by 5.1 percent. The Russian central bank said that the inflation level in the country this year is not expected to exceed 6 percent compared to 6.1 percent last year.
