
The Industry Ministry has expected 2015 will see the signing of a free trade agreement among three African blocs, the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), the Southern African Development Community (SADC) and the East African Community.
In its annual report of which MENA has obtained a copy, the ministry also expected the ratification of Mercosur agreement by Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay.
It also expected that 2015 will witness the launch of negotiations to sign the free trade agreement between Egypt and the Eurasian Union.
The report said that Arkin border crossing will be opened between Egypt and Sudan, and a project to develop medicinal and aromatic plants will be finalized.
