An Ukrainian maritime delegation met on Sunday with Director of the Port Said shipyard Gamal Khaled to discuss fostering bilateral cooperation in the fields of building ships and exchange experiences.
During the gathering, attended by four Ukrainian experts and an official agent of one of the major Ukrainian dockyards, they touched on the available opportunities at the Port Said shipyard.
Khaled said the Ukrainian delegation visited all departments of the Egyptian shipyard to review their potentials and stand on the latest programs to build ships.
The aim of the visit is to get acquainted with the modern cutting machines at the shipyard, he added.
Also, the Ukrainian delegation inspected a multi-purpose machine with five axes at the Egyptian dockyard, he asserted.
For their part, the delegation members hailed the capabilities of the Port Said shipyard and its operating systems as well as the high inefficiency of its floating docks.
