Egypt, Italy agree on combating illegal immigration

Egypt and Italy have agreed to combat illegal immigration at the bilateral and regional levels.
This came during a meeting that grouped Minister of Agriculture Adel el Beltagui and his Italian counterpart Maurizio Martina, who is currently visiting Egypt.
The Italian minister said his country cares about the illegal immigration as it is the first stop of such immigrants in Europe.
Cooperation between countries overlooking the Mediterranean is one example of means to stop the illegal immigration, he added.
