
The Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Suma Chakrabarti lauded the efforts exerted by the Egyptian government to achieve economic reform and attract foreign and local investments.
The official's remark came during the second day of the Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC) held in Sharm el Sheikh.
He further hailed the amendments introduced to the Egyptian investment law, adding that this will attract more investments.
During the last two and half years, the EBRD invested 750 million euros in Egypt in the fields of energy, electricity as well as the small and medium enterprises, he noted.
The bank is keen on creating more job opportunities for youths, the official concluded.
