British envoy enthusiastic to promote partnership with Egypt

British Lawmaker and Prime Minister's Envoy to Egypt Jeffrey Donaldson voiced enthusiasm for his country's efforts to enhance commercial partnership with Egypt and encourage economic reforms in the country.

The remarks were made during a reception ceremony organized by the British embassy in Egypt, including a number of Egyptian and British entrepreneurs and businessmen.

Egypt is an important country for Britain, Donaldson said.

For his part, British Ambassador in Egypt John Casson said the appointment of Donaldson reflects Britain's commitment to its obligations toward Egypt.

Britain is a part of solution to promote the Egyptian economy.
