BRICS to help solve eurozone problems

Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa will work together with the European Union countries to solve the EU's economic problems, Russia's Deputy Finance Minister Sergei Storchak said on Friday. "We are trying to avoid calling it 'help'. We will work on the issue together with the EU and BRICS states," Storchak said. Brazilian Finance Minister Guido Mantega said the EU countries had to take firm and fast measures to prevent a new financial crisis, as economic stability in the world was worsening due to Greece and Portugal's sovereign debts.
