
Minister of Industry and Mining Abdessalem Bouchouareb held Monday in Istanbul talks with several officials of the World Economic Forum with whom he broached the main objectives of Algeria’s industrial development strategy.
Bouchouareb held talks with Professor Klaus Schwab, founder and chairman of executive council of the World Economic Forum as well as Philippe Rosler, executive director and member of the board of directors and Miroslav Dusek, head of North Africa and the Middle East, on the sidelines of the special meeting of the World Economic Forum in Istanbul.
On this occasion, the minister broached with his interlocutors the main objectives of the Algerian industrial development strategy which aims, he said, at modernizing the national industrial structure, in accordance with the international standards of excellence and competitiveness.
Public authorities’ new approach in terms of relaunching the industrial development focuses also on promoting digital economy, implementing flexible and modern funding methods and encouraging innovation, he added.
