
The implementation of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s historic visit to friendly India took centre stage during a meeting chaired here today by the Industry and Commerce Minister Dr. Hassan Abdulla Fakhro.
The Indian Ambassador to Bahrain Man Muhan Kumar, representatives of many public and private sides, including the Economic Development Board (EDB), the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB), the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI)’s Board, the Bahrain Businesswomen Society (BBS), the Bahrain Businessmen’s Society, businessmen, bankers, and Indian traders operating in Bahrain attended.
The Minister lauded the advanced level of Bahraini-Indian relations, strengthened by the exchanged visits of the two countries’ leaderships.
He pointed out that continuous meetings would develop bilateral relations and achieve common goals.
He added that the Kingdom’s leadership and government welcome and appreciate all efforts aiming to consolidate bilateral relations and achieve the expected goals of HM the King’s visit to India.
The meeting focused on the latest developments regarding joint investments and cooperation.
The Indian Ambassador expressed sincere appreciation to the Industry and Commerce Ministry for hosting the meeting, highlighting the Indian Embassy’s constant readiness to provide all needed support for companies and joint projects.
He said that the Indian Foreign Minister would visit the kingdom, along with a number of Indian businessmen, and that a conference would be held on the sidelines of the visit, welcoming all relevant sides’ participation in the event.
Dr. Fakhro lauded efforts aiming to boost trade, economic and industrial cooperation between the two friendly countries, noting that the long-standing bilateral cooperation has yielded fruitful results in various fields.
