
Trade and investment opportunities in the GCC and Japan will be agenda of a key meeting, scheduled to be held on January 22-23 in Tokyo. The Federation of GCC Chambers will take part in the event, which be co-organised by the GCC General-Secretariat and the Japanese Foreign Ministry.
GCC Assistant Secretary-General for Strategic Dialogues and Negotiations Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Ouwaishaq will chair the session, which will focus on combating pirated goods and industrial property rights, in addition to industrial development exchanges and cooperation between the public and private cooperation.
The Federation of GCC Chambers urged viable initiatives to bolster GCC-Japan cooperation in the fields of legislations, transport and telecommunications, in particular, stressing the importance of fast-tracking the planned free trade agreement between the GCC member states and Japan
