
Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) Chief Executive Officer Osama bin Abdulla Al-Absi has today received newly-appointed Pakistani Ambassador Muhammed Saeed Khan and discussed IT cooperation and exchanging expertise.
The two sides reviewed the situation of the Pakistani expatriate community, stressing Bahrain's efforts to protect migrants' rights. The LMRA chief briefed the Pakistani diplomat on the Expatriated Management System (EMS) procedures in issuing permits for migrant workers. The ambassador hailed the LMRA-led efforts, stressing the importance of the streamlined system to organise and regulate the labour market and protect the rights of workers and employers.
