Serbian government said on Saturday that the attack Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic endured at Bosnia's Srebrenica will not influence the relations between the two countries.

At a press conference after Vucic's return from the memorial service at Potocari in Srebrenica where he was attacked, he said that despite the attack Serbia will continue with the same politics of reconciliation with Bosnian people.

According to Vucic, he was insulted at the beginning of his visit to Srebrenica by football hooligans from Serbia and later on, while he was laying flowers on the graves of killed Bosnian Muslims, various objects were thrown at him and the Serbian delegation.

Reports stated that angry crowd threw rocks and bottles at the Serbian delegation, one hit Vucic in the head and broke his glasses.

He alledged that the attack was carefully prepared and organized.

"I here express my regret because something like that took place, and that some people did not recognize my sincere intent to build friendship between Serbian and Bosnian people," he said at the conference.

The 20th anniversary of the Srebrenica crime took place at the memorial centre of Potocari in Srebrenica where some 8,000 Bosnian Muslims killed in 1995 were buried.

Last Wednesday, a UN resolution drafted by Britain calling the events the crime of a genocide was vetoed by Russia.

Serbian interior minister Nebojsa Stefanovic and Justice Minister Nikola Selakovic both called the attack a multiple murder attempt, and criticized the security measures provided by the authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

EU condemned the incident and demanded Bosnia and Herzegovina to conduct a detailed investigation.
