Trade and Industry Minister Tarek Qabil said that the volume of trade between Egypt and Agadir Agreement countries reaches 500 million dollars.
This came during a press conference held on the sidelines of the third meeting of the trade ministers of Agadir Agreement countries on Sunday in Cairo.
Qabil called for boosting cooperation in order to increase the volume of trade between Agadir Agreement countries and the European Union.
He added that the meeting, which will be attended by the trade ministers of Tunisia, Morocco and Jordan, aims at assessing the agreement, which began to be implemented in 2007.
A number of cooperation agreements and memoranda of understanding in the fields of intellectual property protection and dispute settlement will be concluded in the meeting, he added.
The Agadir Agreement aims at establishing a free trade area between Morocco, Tunisia, Jordan and Egypt, as part of the Euro-Mediterranean free trade area envisaged in the Barcelona Process.
