Abu Dhabi - WAM

The Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation has sent a relief ship loaded with four thousand tons of food and rations to Yemen to help alleviate the suffering of the brotherly people of the Arab republic, in implementation of the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the orders of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and the follow up of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Foundation, to provide food aid and ration to the Yemeni people as a result of the unfortunate events taking place there.

An official source at the Khalifa Foundation has said that the aid ship sailed from Jebel Ali port in Dubai and is bound for Aden in implementation of the directives of the wise leadership to provide the nutritional needs of the Yemeni people, who live in difficult humanitarian situations.

Since the start of the crisis, the Khalifa Foundation has been active in delivering humanitarian aid, food and medical supplies by air and sea routes to the people in Yemen.
