President Beji Caid Essebsi
Tunis - MENA

Tunisia needs support to initiate structural reform that can sometimes be painful, the Tunisian news agency cited the country's President Beji Caid Essebsi as saying.
Speaking at the closing session of the Investment and Entrepreneurship Conference, he stressed that this event is a major opportunity for Tunisia which has already made significant political progress and needs now to usher in a new stage of urgent economic reforms.
"US President Barack Obama's message to participants in this conference reflects the US interest in Tunisia, the only Arab country that has succeeded with minimal damage to complete a political transition with the promulgation of a constitution and the organization of free and transparent parliamentary and presidential elections," Essebsi emphasized.
