President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held Sunday a meeting with Prime Minister Sherif Ismail and a number of ministers to discuss a raft of internal files and ways to attract investment, Spokesman for the Presidency Alaa Yousef said.

Present at the meeting were the ministries of planning, administrative reform, supply and internal trade, finance, investment, trade and industry, international cooperation and petroleum.

During the meeting, President Sisi underlined the importance of controlling the prices, meeting the needs of the Egyptian citizen, mainly the needy people.

The president called for providing medicines, fuel, food, goods and other supplies of Eidul Adha.

President Sisi referred to steps taken by the state to promote and attract direct investments, whether in the level of procedures or law.

He called for continuing efforts to attract further investments, taking into account the promising and major projects available in the country, mainly the New Suez Canal Development Project and the project of One Million Feddan land reclamation.

The president directed following up the ongoing executive measures needed to complete the major national projects on time in order to achieve their desired outcome, enhance economy and realize comprehensive leadership.

Sisi called for creating new ideas that contribute to increase the state revenues in order to fulfill the needs of the citizens.

He also called for increasing the Egyptian exports and upgrading the sector of industry as a locomotive of the Egyptian economy.

The president underscored the importance of enhancing communication with the Egyptian expatriates to cement their relation with the country and make use of their experiences in various fields.

The prime minister and the ministers voiced their determination to exert utmost efforts to improve the livelihood of Egyptians and upgrade the performance of various sectors of the Egyptian economy, and achieve the desired communication with the Egyptian expats.
