Damascus - SANA

Prime Minister Dr. Wael al-Halqi stressed the importance of preserving domestic traditional industries and reviving artisan industries as they are an intrinsic part of the Syrian heritage.
The Premier was speaking during the General Union of Syrian Artisans plenary council which was convened in Damascus on Sunday.
Al-Halqi underlined the significance of establishing direct connections with the artisans and smoothing over the difficulties facing their work.
As he underlined the importance of partnership between the government and trade unions in decision-making for bolstering steadfastness, al-Halqi reviewed the massive damage wrought to the artisans’ establishment under the crisis.
The premier presented a review of the economic, social and service situation, as well as the government’s efforts to deliver services that have been damaged due to terrorist attacks.
