Chairperson of the Kuwaiti Voluntary Work Center Sheikha Amthal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah said that Al-Mubarakiya festival will continue until the end of February, as it is attracting large numbers of youth.
Sheikha Amthal, also secretary of the permanent committee for celebrating festivals and national occasions, thanked His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for patronizing the event, in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Tuesday.
The festival, which kicked off on February 1st, aims to encourage social and national values in youth, while also working on developing the abilities and talents of this category of the society, she noted.
The festival is divided into three time periods, allowing 88 youths to showcase their projects and products in each period, said Sheikha Amthal.
She also added that this is the first exhibition of its kind in the Middle East, where participants are not charged for any services.
The festival, inaugurated by Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, includes various booths where Kuwaiti youths present products of their own, including perfumes, bakhoor (incense), clothes, accessories, food items and others.
