The Mohammed bin Rashid Charity and Humanitarian Establishment announced that it had shipped 505 tonnes of relief supplies from Port Rashid to Aden Port as part of its humanitarian initiative to rush urgent food and medical assistance to the Yemeni people suffering from acute shortage of food as a result of the unfortunate events taking place there.

Nabil Gargash, member of the Establishment's Board of Trustees, stated that the assistance was aimed at alleviating the sufferings of the affected people and improve their living conditions. Food baskets containing sugar, rice, edible oil, lentil and edible pulses will be distributed to needy families,' he said.

He added that assistance was delivered as part of the UAE wise leadership's efforts to ease the suffering of the Yemeni people in the light of the ongoing unfortunate events there.
