Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab
Cairo - MENA

Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab has approved the first five-year plan of a national strategy for housing (2015-2030).

The plan includes roles to be played by all ministries concerned, as well as the role of NGOs and youths, who contributed to outlining mechanisms of implementation, said Minister of Housing Hala Youssef.

Some 237 million pounds have been granted to the Ministry of Housing to manage the housing program in Egypt in 2015-2016, Youssef said.

Mahlab pressed for an immediate implementation of the plan with all partners from the government and civilian sectors under the supervision of the Housing Ministry.
