Libya declares oil crisis
Tripoli - KUNA

An Islamist militia, known as Fajr Libya (Libya Dawn), said on Tuesday it would hand over the oil terminals to the "Libyan State" once it seizes control on them.
The government troops previously said that a Fajr Libya jet had shelled Al-Sidra terminal east of the country, but no casualties or loss were reported.
A statement read by spokesman of Shorouk campaign for liberating oil terminals, Ismail Shukri, assured local and foreign companies working in the oil facilities that their belongings and equipment will be safe.
Once the operation is completed, they will be called to resume their activities, he added.
Shorouk is not targeting a city or a tribe but outlawed groups that control the wealth of the Libyan people, causing the state to lose billions of dollars, Shukri said in a press conference held in Tripoli.
The forces tasked with the campaign are highly keen on military professionalism and precision to avert any damage to the facilities, he stressed.
Fajr Libya once said the campaign had been commissioned by the General National Congress (GNC), the outgoing parliament.
The escalation follows a UN announcement that it would sponsor this week a second round of talks to end the confrontation between two rival governments and parliaments.
Meanwhile, the parliament recognized by the international community, operating in eastern Libya, said the attack targeting oil facilities was seeking to control resources for financing terrorism.
