Kuwaiti cabinet
Kuwait - KUNA

The Cabinet has instructed the Fatwa and Legislation Department to coordinate with the Kuwait Public Institution for Social Security (PIFSS) to take legal action against reported financial irregularities and abuse of public funds at the PIFSS.
The instructions were decided during the cabinet's weekly routine meeting at Seif Palace on Monday, chaired by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
Potential violators will be immediately referred to the prosecution, according to the new instructions.
The move comes in harmony with supreme directives on the necessity of protecting public funds, and also manifests keenness by the cabinet to protect them.
It came following recent reports on financial irregularities at the Institution.
