Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour stressed on Sunday that the future vision of the national economy was the outcome of His Majesty King Abdullah II's directives, and was aimed at cementing economy's fundamentals, achieving stability by improving production values and becoming self-reliant in order to reach the level of sustainable development.
Ensour's remarks came as heading the cabinet to keep up the work on Jordan's economic program, dubbed ''The 2025 integral framework for economic and social policies in Jordan.''
Ensour noted that the vision comprises two documents -- the first includes goals and perspectives, while the other includes timely operational procedures and programs.
The Prime Minister urged the Coordinating Committee to speed up the completion of the sub-committees' work and draft a report to be submitted to the Cabinet as soon as possible.
The Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Ibrahim Saif, said the government has entered into the final stage of the preparation of the program, pointing out that it is committed to achieving this vision before the end of this year and forwarding it to His Majesty King Abdullah.
