Finance Minister, Ummaya Toukan
Washington - Petra

Finance Minister, Ummaya Toukan, on Sunday said Jordan has agreed with the International Monetary Fund to cut the number of period reviews of the national economic reform program to three reviews to enable the Kingdom secure $129 million through the Standby Arrangement.
The minister, who was speaking to Petra on the sidelines of the IMF and World Bank annual meetings in Washington D.C., said IMF officials hailed Jordan's reform programs and projections that the state's financial status will restore balance on the medium term.
He also noted that the U.S. government expressed interest in guaranteeing Jordanian bonds issuance in international markets to support the Kingdom's reform drive.
