Egypt's PM Sherif Ismail
Cairo - MENA

Prime Minister Sherif Ismail held a meeting Monday on reclamation and development of 1.5 million feddans, being the first phase of a project on the reclamation of four million feddans.

The meeting was also attended by ministers of planning, housing, irrigation and agriculture, Cabinet Spokesman Hossam Qawish said.

During the meeting, Ismail asserted the importance of studying all the details concerning the implementation of the project.

All required measures shall be immediately taken to establish a company that would manage the project, Ismail said, adding that the authorities concerned would identify shareholders in the company's capital, including the public, private sectors and national banks.

The premier also directed to finalize as soon as possible setting an inclusive timetable concerning the operational and technical steps.
