EEDC shows Egypt's ability to attain economic progress in upcoming period

The Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC) shows Egypt's ability to attain economic progress within the upcoming period, affirmed Executive Director of the World Bank Sri Mulyani.
The WB will provide within the forthcoming period around 400 million dollars to implement programs to eradicate poverty and raise the standard of living in Egypt.
Mulyani's remarks came during a meeting held with Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab Sunday on the sidelines of the EEDC in Sharm el Sheikh.
The WB will work on increasing investments in Egypt in the upcoming period, especially in fields of infrastructure and the projects which will provide jobs for youths, she added.
Mahlab, meanwhile, stressed the need to give attention to training and vocational education.
He made it clear that his government's top priority is to provide jobs for youths through the private sector.
Coordination will be maintained between the ministry of vocational training and the WB in this respect, he added.
