CAPMAS: Monthly inflation up by 1.3% in September

Inflation rate rose by 1.3 percent from August to September to hit 160.7 points, said the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).
Annual inflation rate rose by 11 percent compared to September of 2013, the agency said in a statement, a copy of which MENA obtained Thursday.
CAPMAS attributed the rise in monthly inflation to an increase in the prices of food and beverages which rose by 2.1 percent in September compared with the previous month.
