Bid to smuggle Egyptian money foiled in Salloum

The customs authorities at Salloum border crossing thwarted an attempt Thursday to smuggle an amount of Egyptian currency with a vehicle driver.
The driver, a Libyan citizen, was hiding about EGP40,000 attached to his body, an official source said.
The man requested a legal deal to avoid more investigation.
He was released after he was handed 5,000 pounds, the limit allowed by the law.
