Sheikha Mai bint Mohammed al-Khalifa
Manama - BNA

Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa took part today in the Global Competitiveness Forum (GCF) 2015 which is being held this year under the theme "Competitiveness of the Government Sector".
She described culture as a joint social and popular responsibility which can be shared by all and activated in reality. She stressed the need to share roles in order to carry out projects, pointing out the key role played by Shaikh Ibrahim Centre for Culture and Research in promoting cultural activities since its establishment in 2002.
Shaikha Mai chaired a session on the national heritage work in the Gulf countries.
The GCF, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, brings together leading business figures from public and private sectors. A number of renowned personalities from more than 22 countries are participating in this year's event which sheds light on the positive impact of the national competitive capability on local, regional and international economic and social development. More than 60 speakers will be lecturing in the forum which aims to raise awareness of the local and international competitiveness challenges and related issues.
