Cairo - MENA

Head of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) Abd El Aziz Seif Eldeen and Netherlands Ambassador in Cairo Gerard Steeghs on Tuesday witnessed a signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding between the AOI and Philips Egypt company.

The MOU aims at intensifying cooperation between the two companies in the field of energy-saving technology, especially after the great success achieved in the project's first phase.

It includes cooperation to meet the needs of the Egyptian market of modern lighting solutions.

Seif Eldeen said that the AOI works to provide Egypt with studied scientific solutions in various fields.

He added that the AOI has cooperated with 22 private companies since a contract was signed between the company and the Local Development Ministry to provide street lighting lamps last April.

Also, four AOI's factories are being operated for the same project, he added.
