90% of dredging works at New Suez Canal finalized

Up to 230.307 million cubic meters of water-saturated sand have been lifted so far as part of the Suez Canal Development Project, said Head of the Suez Canal Authority Mohab Mamish on Tuesday.
The figure represents 89.27 percent of the target of 258 million cubic meters, he added.
About 38 dredgers are operating in the project, executive director of dredging works Wagdy Zaky said.
