43 vessels transit Suez Canal in both directions on Sunday

Forty-three ships transited the Suez Canal in both directions on Sunday with a total cargo of 2.7 million tons, said Mohab Mamish, the chairman of the Suez Canal Authority.
The south-bound convoy included 20 vessels, while the north-bound convoy included 23 ships.
Egypt inaugurated a new Suez Canal on August 6. The New Suez Canal will massively increase the capacity of the existing canal and offer an important opportunity to boost the country’s economy.
