Suez - MENA

The three Egyptian fishing boats released by Sudan arrived at Attaka Fishing Port in Suez.

The boats were held in Sudan since April.

As many as 81 crew members of the three boats arrived to Cairo Airport on August 6, while 20 others remained in Sudan to sail the boats back home.

An official source in Attaka port said that the boats' crew members are in good health.

The crisis of the fishermen ended after intense calls with the Egyptian government and the Sudanese government at the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

Sudanese President Omar el Bashir issued a decision to pardon 101 Egyptian fishermen held in Sudan after consultations with his justice minister.
