Algerian writer Jilali Amrani is set to release a novel titled “Raqsat Mawt” (Dance of Death). In an interview with Arabstoday, the writer said his latest book will trace the evolution of characters in Algeria and provide answers to questions like 'What happened to us, why and how?' Its protagonist travels through major changes and events influencing the lives of people in Algeria with death as a powerful underlying theme. He added that he was inspired by history and hoped the book brings to life historical and social aspects of Algeria. This is the forth work of fiction by the writer. His previous novels were “Ahlam Al Khareef” (Dreams of Autumn), “Al Moushahid al-Ariya” (The Naked Watcher) and “Oyoun Al Layl” (Eyes of the Night). The writer will feature in an international theatre festival, where he will read an excerpt of his new novel.
