National Guard Commander Lieutenant General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa patronised today at the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club, in Sakhir, the inauguration ceremony of the fourth edition of Dar Al-Ezz (House of Glory) Festival which was organised by the National Guard presidency marking the 18th anniversary of the National Guard.
He was welcomed on arrival by National Guard Staff Director Major General Shaikh Abdul Aziz bin Saud Al Khalifa and senior officers. He got briefed on the programme of the festival which witnessed a remarkable turnout of citizens. Many government bodies and companies also participated in the event and highlighted their main roles in serving the community.
The National Guard Commander watched part of the cultural and artistic shows presented by Bahraini artists. Bahraini productive families also participated in the event and showcased their handmade and heritage products. Then, the National Guard Commander inaugurated a photo gallery on the National Guard march over the past 18 years and its major achievements in defending the nation and preserving its security, stability and hard-won gains.
He extended congratulations to Bahrain leadership on the 18th anniversary of the National Guard, expressing heartfelt gratitude and loyalty for the care and support given by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He also praised the distinguished level and high competence of the National Guard personnel, pledging to carry out the royal directives in assuming the sacred duty of protecting Bahrain and its accomplishments.
The National Guard Commander thanked the National Guard personnel for their honourable role and dedication in maintaining national security and protecting citizens. He underlined keenness to promote the principle of partnership with the civil society institutions by taking part in various functions. He praised good organisation of the festival and diversity of its programmes, wishing all every success.
