With some of the region's most sought after independent musicians signed up, such as Zeid Hemdan, Maryam Saleh and Telepoetic, 'Almoharek' has just been launched as one of Eka3's specialised arms for booking artists, after the company went through an expansion.
While Eka3 has been already working in the areas it specialised in such as acting as a booking agency, music label, licensing and event organising, the company's expansion was done to help them specialise in the different aspects involved in managing and promoting independent artists.
Eka3's other specialised extentions include Awyac, a music agency, Mostakell, an Arabic music label and Ma3azef a music critique magazine, whose website has already been launched.
While the official launch of Almoharek is set to take place on 29 August in a new Cairo artspace in Garden City set to open next week 'Room'; the iniative already has many artists under their belt and work on securing gigs for them all over Egypt and international festivals as well.
Currently Almoharek includes under its umbrella such as Darwasha, Maryam Saleh, Zeid Hemdan, Maii Waleed, Jawhar, Kamilya Jubran, Sarah Murcia, Telepoetic, Saleh and Minyawy, and Tamer Abu Ghazala.
