The Centre for Translation Studies at the American University in Cairo will host an interantional conference under the title "Aesthetics and Politics: Counter-Narratives, New Publics, and the Role of Dissent in the Arab World," 17-26 September. The conference will host prominent figures in literature, art, the social sciences and politics from different regions. The conference will start on Monday, 17 September, at 7:00pm.
