Tropical storm Nadine swirling in central Atlantic

Tropical Storm Nadine was swirling in the central Atlantic Ocean on Tuesday and was not expected to change in intensity in the next several days, U.S. forecasters said. Nadine, with maximum sustained winds of 97 kilometers per hour (kph) was about 725 kilometers west-southwest of the Azores Islands, traveling on a northeasterly path at 13 kph, the National Hurricane Center in Miami said in its 0900 GMT advisory. The storm was expected to remain on a northeastern course through most of Tuesday before shifting to a more northerly path at a lower forward speed late Tuesday into Wednesday, the NHC said. Nadine's strength was expected to change little during the next 48 hours. Tropical storm-force winds extended 315 kilometers from the storm's center.
