South Sudan army denies advance by Machar forces to Juba

The South Sudan army denied Friday reports that militia loyal to former vice president Riek Machar have advanced towards the capital Juba, Sudanese media reported. The army's spokesman Philip Aguer said the army are controlling vital roads that lead to the capital. He said that the army is close to retake the rebel-held Bor, the capital city of Jonglei State.
