Seminar in China to take advantage of the resources to take full advantage
Beijing - XINHUA

Integration of disciplines can boost sustainable development was the take-home message of a Tuesday development seminar.
Mark Smith, chairman of Future Earth Science Committee, said the integration of disciplines in natural and social sciences, humanities and even artistic areas is necessary for the survival of nine billion people on earth.
The seminar brought some 80 experts to discuss air, water and soil pollution, the impact of urbanization on the environment, sustainable development and food security.
Attendees agreed to form an alliance to ensure coordinated scientific studies by reshuffling international projects, their funding system and filling the gap between theory and practice.
Qin Dahe, chairman of the Chinese National Committee for Future Earth said that China will make full use of various resources to map out solutions on issues, including pollution and urbanization
