Water projects in the Kingdom,
Tokyo - XINHUA

Jordan and Japan on Wednesday signed a 20-million U.S. dollar grant agreement to support water projects in the Kingdom, the state-run Petra news agency reported.
Jordan's Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Ibrahim Seif said the grant will help Jordan improve infrastructure in the field of water.
The grant will help improve water supply, especially with rising demand on water and will play an important role in reducing the percentage of water loss, he said.
He added that Japan has also approved granting Jordan a loan of 150 million U.S. dollars to support development projects in the country.
Since 1999, Japan has extended some 764 million dollars to Jordan, of which 430 million are grants, while the rest are soft loans.
