Fishing in Vembanad waters

The daughter of a fisherman rows her boat in the waters of Vembanad Lake in the southern city of Kochi. The fishermen come along with their families from the Mysore district of Karnataka to fish in the waters of Vembanad Lake and Periyar River in Kochi and each family earns around Rs600 a day by catching mostly mystus fish and crab. from gulf times.
