Darwin flights resume as volcanic ash clears

Volcanic ash clouds from an Indonesian eruption cleared Sunday allowing stranded passengers to catch planes in and out of the Australian city of Darwin, dpa reported.
Flights in northern Australia were cancelled Saturday after the eruption of the Sangeang Api volcano off the north coast of the Indonesian island of Sumbawa.
Several flights from Australia to Bali were also hit with cancellations due to the danger posed by volcanic ash clouds.
