China voices opposition to nuclear proliferation

China said on Friday it opposes nuclear proliferation and does not uphold the the development of nuclear weapons by any Middle East country. "As a member of ''Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty'' (NPT), Iran should fulfill the relevant international obligations," Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei was quoted by the New China News Agency (Xinhuia) as saying .
