Minister of the Interior and Municipal Affairs, Marwan Charbel, instructed internal security, Civil Defense, municipal councils and all civil bodies concerned to take extra precautions in view of the weather forecast during the upcoming few days. He brought to public attention the expected heat wave on the week-end and what it might entail in terms of brush fires fanned by strong desert wind. The Minister also warned against a sudden drop in temperature accompanied by expected heavy rain falls. He duly instructed that water ducts and sewage system be cleared off plastic bags and similar debris. Charbel also cautioned fishermen not to take to the sea on Wednesday due to forecasted choppiness. Traffic also needs to be organized in elevated areas in view of the forecasted thunder storm and heavy snowfall.
