Harare - Arabstoday

Zimbabwe beat South Africa by 29 runs to surprisingly stay unbeaten in the Twenty20 tri-series at Harare Sports Club on Wednesday. Openers Vusi Sibanda and Hamilton Masakadza made half centuries in Zimbabwe’s 176-4. The host bowled South Africa out for 147 in 19.2 overs to follow up on their win over Bangladesh on the opening day of the three-team tournament on Sunday. Fast bowler Chris Mpofu took 3-20 and legspinner Graeme Cremer 3-29 to hold the South Africans, while seamer Richard Muzhange finished with 2-28 on debut. Colin Ingram top-scored for the under-strength Proteas with 48 but Cremer claimed three wickets in two overs to start South Africa’s slide. Sibanda (58) and Masakadza (55 from 39 balls) combined for a 114-run opening stand to set up Zimbabwe’s second straight win. From khaleejtimes
