White Knights turn down 1.5 million euro offer from UAE's Al-Shabab to borrow troublesome player for one season, German press reports. Zamalek's board have rejected an offer from UAE club Al-Shabab to land team star Mahmoud Abdel-Razek 'Shikabala' for a one-season loan deal, German press agency DPA revealed Monday. "Al-Shabab offered 1.5 million euro to obtain the player’s services, but club president Mamdouh Abbas rejected the offer, saying the sum wasn't appropriate," a Zamalek source told DPA. "Abbas intends to solve the problem between Shikabala and Coach Hassan Shehata since the player represents a key element in the Zamalek squad," added the anonymous source. The 26-year-old winger, one of Egypt’s most prominent stars, has been suspended by Zamalek since a touchline altercation with Coach Shehata during an African Champions League game last month. He has been Zamalek’s best performer over the past two seasons, but his career has been hindered by frequent disciplinary problems. The latest feud prompted Egypt Coach Bob Bradley to leave Abdel-Razek out of the team's opening 2014 World Cup qualifying matches with Mozambique and Guinea. From: Ahram online
