The women's World Cup downhill at the Austrian resort of Bad Kleinkirchheim on Saturday was postponed due to strong winds, organisers announced.
Gusts reaching 105 km/h combined with mild temperatures of 14 degrees made staging the event impossible.
Organisers were expected to make a statement later on whether the rest of the weekend's programme could go ahead, with a super-G scheduled for Sunday but no drop in temperature forecast in the meantime.
American speed queen Lindsey Vonn had been hoping to use this weekend to equal Austrian Annemarie Moser-Proell's record of 62 World Cup wins set in 1980. Vonn is currently on 61.
